Joshua's high school career was balanced with academic and social activities. He was involved in a handful of clubs (listed below). He also took Advance Placement courses in Art and Dramatic Arts, and competed at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.

• Alive Club - Christian club with an emphasis on local outreach

• Key Club - Club focused on community service

• Future Farmers of America (FFA) - Club with an emphasis of farming and agriculture

• Drama Club - Club focused on developing young thespians
